The National Park Service lists this among Teddy Roosevelt’s quotations:
“I grow very fond of this place, and it certainly has a desolate, grim beauty of its own, that has a curious fascination for me.”
It doesn’t mention the place he refers to, but I have no doubt it’s Yellowstone. I count myself lucky to have experienced it and more importantly, to be but hours away from experiencing it again. Yes, it’s the most fantastic place on Earth.
